Overview/總覽

In this module, we are going to discuss how the various Ethernet standards developed over time. We will also discuss why there is a need for these standards and the effect of these standards on the industry. In addition, we are going to cover various types of network media standards. We will cover 10Base-T (802.3i, 1990) as well as 100Base-T and 1000Base-T (1GBASE-T or 1 GigE) Ethernet standards, which are most commonly found in current office networks. We will discover how to plan a basic network connection using 100BaseT. Finally, we will cover differences between Ethernet and TCP/IP.
